INTERNAL QUALITY ASSURANCE CELL (IQAC)

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) is a mandatory, proactive, and participatory body established in accredited higher education institutions to ensure continuous quality enhancement. Acting as a “catalyst” for academic and administrative excellence, it develops systems to improve performance, foster a quality culture, and prepare for NAAC accreditation.

Key Aspects of IQAC:

Establishment & Goal: Initiated as a post-accreditation quality sustenance measure for higher education institutions. It aims to develop a system for consistent, conscious, and catalytic action to improve academic and administrative performance.

Core Functions:

• Quality Benchmarking: Setting parameters for academic and administrative activities.
• Student-Centric Approach: Optimizing modern teaching, learning, and evaluation methods.
• Feedback Mechanism: Collecting and analyzing feedback from students, parents, and stakeholders.
• Documentation: Organizing records of quality-enhancing practices.
• Strategic Planning: Preparing the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) for NAAC.

Structure & Composition:

Consists of a chairperson (head of the institution), a coordinator, faculty members, management representatives, and external experts from industry or society.
