NEP Committee

A College NEP (National Education Policy) Committee is a dedicated, institutional-level body designed to facilitate the transition to NEP 2020 guidelines, focusing on curriculum restructuring, faculty training, and student awareness.

Typically composed of the Principal, IQAC Coordinator, and Heads of Departments, it ensures academic compliance, promotes interdisciplinary learning, and manages the implementation of 4-year undergraduate programs.

Key Responsibilities and Functions of a College NEP Committee:

• Curriculum Alignment: Restructuring courses to align with NEP 2020 principles, focusing on multidisciplinary approaches and skill development.
• Awareness & Advocacy: Organizing workshops and seminars to sensitize faculty, staff, and students about NEP provisions.
• Training and Development: Equipping teachers with innovative pedagogical methods, such as active, experiential, and blended learning.
• Implementation & Monitoring: Overseeing the execution of new academic structures, including credit transfer, Multiple Entry/Exit options, and Academic Bank of Credits (ABC).
• Support & Guidance: Acting as a bridge between university authorities and college departments to resolve operational challenges in the new system.
