Internal Complaints Committee (ICC)

At Malini Kishor Sanghvi College, we believe that everyone deserves to study and work in a space that feels safe, respectful, and comfortable. To make sure this happens, the College has set up an Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) as per the guidelines of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013.

Why do we have an ICC?

The ICC is here to listen, support, and take action if any student, teaching staff, or non teaching staff experiences sexual harassment or feels uncomfortable due to inappropriate behaviour on campus.

What counts as Sexual Harassment?

  • Sexual harassment can include:
    • Unwelcome comments, jokes, or gestures
    • Inappropriate staring or body language
    • Unwanted physical contact
    • Sharing offensive messages, images, or emails
    • Any behavior that makes you feel unsafe, uncomfortable, or disrespected
  • If something feels wrong, it matters.

Anti-Ragging Committee

At Malini Kishor Sanghvi College, we want every student to feel safe, confident, and welcomed from day one. To make sure our campus remains a ragging-free zone, the College has formed an Anti-Ragging Committee as per the guidelines of the University Grants Commission (UGC).

We follow a strict zero-tolerance policy towards ragging in any form.

Why an Anti-Ragging Committee?

Ragging has no place in education.

The Committee works to prevent, monitor, and address any behaviour that may make a student feel uncomfortable, scared, or disrespected.

Our aim is to create a campus culture based on mutual respect, dignity, and friendliness.

What does the Committee do?

  • Ensures strict implementation of UGC anti-ragging rules
  • Creates awareness among students about what ragging is and why it is harmful
  • Conducts orientation and awareness programmes, especially for new students
  • Monitors classrooms, canteen and common areas.
  • Looks into complaints quickly and takes appropriate action

What is considered Ragging?

Ragging includes:

  • Teasing, bullying, or making fun of someone
  • Forcing a student to do something against their will
  • Verbal, physical, or emotional harassment
  • Threats, humiliation, or intimidation
  • Online ragging through messages or social media
